There are measures that can be taken to prevent acne scars. Once you notice inflammation of the skin, treat it early for as long as necessary. This will reduce the chance of scarring. If you know that you are likely to scar from acne, contact a dermatologist for specific instructions on preventing scars. Many people with acne scars feel comfortable with the appearance of their scars. For those who are not comfortable with their acne scars, there are a number of treatment options available.
